South Platte River, Colorado

02/20/2005. Masters-Orchard. Paddling on wet sand above Fort Morgan in eastern Colorado.
03/06/2005. Cooper-hwy 71-Cooper. Paddling below Fort Morgan, this time upstream/dowstream starting from Cottonwood SWA at Cooper Bridge.
03/19/2005. Kersey-Evans-Kersey. Starting at sunrise from Kersey and paddling upstream to meet an annual joined club trip and then downstream.
05/01/2005. South Platte River Marathon. A good river flow:~1600cfs at Kersey. Temperature in middle 30s, some wind, but no snow as promised by weather forecast. 5 portages over irrigation dams. I would make much better time if I had some competition, but nobody showed up. Well, not everybody is training for Texas Water Safari. I am going to run the South Platte River Marathon next year again.
